I found this ColourPop eyeshadow in Soul-cialize at Ulta and I fell in love with it. I’ve been on the hunt for a pigmented lavender/lilac color for the longest time. Once I saw this shimmery eyeshadow I couldn’t help myself lol.
Creating this look was extremely easy since the eyeshadow did most of the work, but the lipstick made the whole vibe. I didn’t have purple lipstick, so I improvised. And I fell even more in love with the look!
This made for the perfect 90’s vibe which I figured would be great for anyone creating a 90’s costume. Other great halloween costume ideas for this look is an alien, Britney Spears, unicorn, or any other festive look. Add some glitter as a highlight or some stick-ons to make it more dramatic.
If you’re needing a quick last minute halloween makeup look, then you’ve come to the right place! Here’s a step-by-step on how I created this dreamy purple masterpiece 🙂 .
Apply the Purple Eyeshadow & Liner
After applying my foundation and all that shenanigans, then:
- I use an eyeshadow primer to ensure the look lasts all day/night.
- Pack on the shadow like it’s nobody’s business.
- Once it’s applied to my liking, then I define my eyes with a winged liner.
Voila! Done.

Creating the Purple Lipstick
Like I was saying above, since I didn’t have a purple lipstick on hand I created one using what I had. I’ve had this Maybelline Super Stay Lipstick in Huntress for awhile, but everytime I wore it it never looked right – like ever lol. But the idea Gods came to me and gave the brillant idea of mixing the Huntress with Stila Stay All Day Lipstick in Patina. Absolutely, perfect!
- Just add Huntress all over your lips.
- Then, dot Patina on the center of your lips to add some color.
- Smack, smack, smack your lips until it’s the right shade of purple you want.
