Fall is here and it’s also one of my favorite times of the year. The air smells fresh and crisp I just want to cozy up in a chunky sweater, sit outside and feel the fall breeze brush against my skin.
It gives me such happy feelings.
Now that Halloween is done I feel like the real Fall festivities can begin! Thanksgiving is around the corner and there are pumpkin patches everywhere and fairs of all kinds. And since it’s baking season also, that means soon the kitchen will smell of delicious goodness 🙂 .
I know there are tons of blog posts on fall with similar characteristics but these blog posts are just so fun to read in my opinion and makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.
So sit back, relax, and grab yourself a fresh cup of coffee or tea. Enjoy!
The crisp, fresh, cool air brings a nice change after the summer heat. I do get sad that I can not easily throw on shorts and a tank top but I don’t mind chunky sweaters and boots either.
The changing of leaves is the most beautiful view during this time of year especially when there’s a large group of trees painted with orange, yellow, red, and green. Now that I live in Oregon, this beauty is seen almost everywhere and it takes my breath away every time.
Pumpkin … Everything
And apples too! Nearly everything is made out of pumpkins in some way … it’s insane. But honestly though, fall wouldn’t be the same without pumpkin candles, lattes, or even pie!
Are my absolute favorite. I am very picky on which scary movies I like. I usually rate movies on a scale from peeking through your hands scary to nearly peeing in your pants scary ( I obviously take this very seriously). Especially, now with the cooler weather and the longer nights this just has to be on my list!
Yes, yes, yes! Bonfires are just the best no matter what time of the year but there is something about the cooler weather, the warm fire, and hanging out with friends and family that makes it a perfect moment. It has a way of bringing everyone together.
Farmer’s Markets are always fun but also all of my favorite veggies come alive this time of year! On top of that, is the yummy soups and warm comfort food recipes that are perfect for those nights sitting by the fire in a warm blanket.
Carnivals / State Fair
Yes! Even though these things are always a little over priced and not the healthiest food options they are always fun to go to for date nights or with friends. I also ALWAYS have to get a funnel cake because it just wouldn’t make sense not too.
Seriously, I just want to buy all of the cozy blankets from Home Goods throw them all over my living room floor and bury myself in it while eating my warm soup and watching a scary movie – I’m making this happen one day.
I know I already had pumpkins on this list but pumpkin patches is totally its own category. Even if you’re like me and don’t carve pumpkins, walking through the little field still brings a fun energy to fall ( and it’s also good for Insta pics too 😉 ).
Honestly, this is my number one favorite thing about fall next to everything else. Who doesn’t love dressing up and becoming a new character! It took me forever to decide what I was going to be this year. At first I was going to settle on being an 80’s rock star but we went to Spirit shop and I saw a cape. That’s when Robin Hood happened instead. Totally different from last year, I was a minion from Despicable Me!
So now that you’ve probably read the fifth Fall post for the season (comment down below if that’s true haha) what are some of your favorite things about fall?
I hope that you’re getting some awesome fall vibes wherever you are and I’ll see you guys soon.
